Experience sharing for Seminar on “Xamarin – a cross platform development” on 29th July, 2017

A small update for sharing the experience about the Seminar that was conducted on 29th july, 2017. It was really a great experience. I would like to thanks Mr. Mayur Tendulkar (Program Manager at Microsoft) who came long  way from Pune for our session & share his part of ample knowledge on #Xamarin.

First half of the day, Mr. Mayur Tendulkar talked about
– Xamarin basics
– xamarin native app development
– xamarin forms
– Devops for xamarin using Microsoft VSTS

Visual Studio Live player feature for running app on mobile without installing.
Testing using VSTS

And showed a first demo on creating an Translation app for all platforms (Android, IOS, Windows) using single code base i.e using Xamarin Forms. This app used Microsoft cognitive service api to translate the text. And the application was setup in VSTS for automatic build on git push. It was really great to learn about how easy is devops setup with VSTS.

 

Then after the lunch break Mr Mayur Tendulkar talked about:

– Offline & online database connectivity for #xamarin app .ie-using #SqlLite, #Realm, #Azure database & #CosmosDb.

Also a demo was presented on the same.
Wow great things are happening with #Xamarin & #micsosoft

Audience were very enthusiastic & awesome asking questions. Thanks you Mr. Mayur for getting some goodies & stickers for audience. I hope audience had a great weekend learning something new & interesting 🙂
